Garden City Hospital is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver patient care through the nursing process, coordinate post-operative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and maintain PACU standards. Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum of one year on the job training.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide delivery of patient care through the nursing process in the PACU.
• Coordinate post-operative care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Direct and guide other personnel while maintaining PACU standards.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and monitor hemodynamics.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
