Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking a skilled PACU nurse to join its 10-bed post-anesthesia care unit in New Britain, CT. You will care for patients before and after surgery, administer IVs, medications, and provide patient education following ASPAN guidelines.

We rotate shifts with weekends and holidays, offer on-call requirements, and look for ICU- or ED- experienced nurses with CT RN license, ACLS/BLS certifications, and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Connecticut RN license required.
• ICU experience preferred; ED/step-down considered.
• BSN preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative care in a 10-bed PACU.
• Administer IVs, medications, and educate patients.
• Coordinate with surgical teams across multiple specialties.
• Maintain documentation and ASPAN guidelines.
