Job summary

Memorial Hospital Belleville (part of BJC HealthCare) seeks a RN to join the PACU team in Belleville, IL. The role supports perioperative care for adult patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, with a focus on rapid assessment and recovery after anesthesia.

The position requires RN licensure and a nursing diploma or higher, with ICU/critical care experience preferred. Expect 4 x 9-hour shifts, from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM, and a call requirement with a 45-minute call response time.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN licensure and nursing diploma/associate's.
• Experience in perioperative or PACU settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborates with the interprofessional team to develop and execute care plans.
• Educates patients and families on post-anesthesia care and discharge instructions.
• Ensures patient safety, quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Document plans of care and communicate across care transitions.
