Job summary

OrthoIndy Hospital in Greenwood, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU to provide perioperative care in the preoperative and postoperative periods. You will monitor patients, collaborate with physicians, and contribute to a high standard of patient safety and satisfaction.

The role is full-time, 36 hours per week with four 9-hour weekday shifts from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, with rotating days off and full benefits. Indiana RN license, BLS/ACLS required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• 2-4 years RN experience in PACU/ICU/ER required; 4-6 years preferred.
• Current Indiana RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care during preoperative and postoperative periods, integrating and making nursing judgments.
• Oversees supervision of non-licensed personnel under physician direction.
• Monitors and reports patient condition and administers medications and IV therapies as ordered.
• Sets up, operates and monitors equipment and instrumentation for perioperative care.
• Maintains accurate nursing documentation in the patient record.
