Job summary

Center for Advanced Gastroenterology Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for patients before discharge after anesthesia or sedation. You will assist physicians in procedure rooms, monitor conscious sedation, and maintain sterile technique as required.

The ideal candidate has an accredited RN education, active Florida RN license, and BLS/ACLS (PALS if required).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 1 year experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as deemed appropriate.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
