Job summary

Center for Advanced Gastroenterology Surgery Center is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide continuous high-quality nursing care and ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy. The RN may assist physicians in procedure rooms with sedation and sterile technique, delivering comprehensive care from anesthesia to discharge.

Qualifications include an accredited RN program, active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and preferred PACU/CCU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 1 year experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of condition.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Deliver total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate for discharge.
