Tallgrass Surgical Center in Topeka, KS is seeking a day shift, PRN Circulating Nurse (RN) to coordinate multidisciplinary activities and maintain a safe operating room environment.

You will assess patients’ physical and psychological needs, support safe anesthesia recovery, advocate for patients, and ensure smooth transport to PACU. This role requires Kansas RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certification, and prior OR experience.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Nursing License in the State of Kansas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Current ACLS certifications.
• Two years of experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• The Circulating Nurse is responsible for coordinating and managing the multidisciplinary activities required to provide a safe environment for patients undergoing surgical intervention.
• Assess patient’s physical and psychological needs.
• Evaluate and implement appropriate measures to assure a safe recovery from anesthesia.
• The OR nurse serves as a patient advocate in the provision of care and is responsible for ensuring patient safety during intra-operative period and with recovery from anesthesia during immediate post op period and with transport to PACU.
