Tallgrass Surgical Center in Topeka, Kansas is seeking a day shift, part-time OR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Circulating Nurse team. The role coordinates multidisciplinary activities to maintain a safe operating room environment and supports anesthesia recovery.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Kansas RN license, BLS within 14 days, ACLS certification, and preferred two years of OR experience. This position offers growth in a patient-centered care setting.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Kansas RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Two years of OR experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities to provide a safe surgical environment.
• Assess patient’s physical and psychological needs.
• Ensure safe recovery from anesthesia and transport to PACU.
• Advocate for patient safety throughout intra-operative and post-anesthesia care.

Responsibilities:

• The Circulating Nurse is responsible for coordinating and managing the multidisciplinary activities required to provide a safe environment for patients undergoing surgical intervention.
• Assess patient’s physical and psychological needs.
• Evaluate and implement appropriate measures to assure a safe recovery from anesthesia.
• The OR nurse serves as a patient advocate in the provision of care and is responsible for ensuring patient safety during intra-operative period and with recovery from anesthesia during immediate post op period and with transport to PACU.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing;
• Current Nursing License in the State of Kansas;
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Current ACLS certifications;

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Two years of experience
