Job summary

Northwest Georgia Surgery Center is hiring a Pre Op PACU Registered Nurse. The role provides continuous nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring safety and privacy throughout the perioperative process.

The candidate should be a graduate of an accredited RN program with a Georgia nursing license, current CPR/ACLS/PALS, and preferably 3 years of intra-operative experience. Strong communication and nursing judgment are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current State of Georgia Nursing License.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
• Minimum 3 years experience preferred in intra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and readiness for discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
