Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus Recovery Room/PACU is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to join the team. The role focuses on immediate post-operative care, airway management, and continuous hemodynamic and neurological assessments in a high-acuity setting.

You will collaborate with OR/ED/inpatient staff, anesthesia, surgeons, and radiology to ensure safe patient care. The position requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS and ACLS/PALS certifications, and at least one year of RN experience in a related area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS and PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient airway
• Assess hemodynamic stability and support
• Monitor sedation, neurological, neuromuscular, and sensory motor status
• Provision of adequate pain and comfort measures
• Assess wound/incision integrity
• Overall patient assessment
