Job summary

Rochester Regional Health's Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Rochester General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, educate patients and families, and collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons and the care team.

This full-time position (36 hours per week) includes day, evening and night shifts with on-call requirements. Requires NY RN license, nursing degree, and BLS; bachelor’s degree and inpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• RN License in New York State.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and service as part of the PACU team.
• Develop and document care plans and communicate status and progress.
• Proficient use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) for documentation.
• Adhere to department, system, and regulatory requirements.
