Job summary

Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver immediate post-operative care, including airway management, neurological and cardiac monitoring, wound care, and ensuring patient stability during recovery.

Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams, participate in rounds, educate patients and families, and respond promptly to complications while upholding safety standards and clinical protocols. On-call responsibilities apply.

Qualifications

• RN license with PACU or ICU experience.
• BLS and PALS; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• On-call availability, including some holidays and weekends.
• Strong critical thinking, technical, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative patient care including airway management.
• Monitor neurological and cardiac status and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams, participating in interdisciplinary rounds.
• Respond to complications, provide initial wound care and support patient recovery.
• Maintain safety standards and adhere to clinical protocols.
• Support a collaborative team environment with staffing from various healthcare professionals.
