Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate nursing care, educate patients and families, and facilitate transitions of care. The RN will support care across the nursing practice model and may take on leadership roles and quality improvement initiatives.

Required BSN, 1 year ICU/PACU/ED experience, and ACLS/BLS. Flexibility with hours including nights and weekends is expected in a nonexempt role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• All entry-level RN start dates after April 1, 2020 must provide evidence of BSN within five years from the RN start date.
• 1 year of RN critical care experience required in ICU, PACU, or ED; PACU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care and patient/family education.
• Support professional nursing practice across settings and the continuum of care.
• Provide leadership through preceptor roles and quality-improvement activities.
• May drive own vehicle as part of the role.
