Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking an experienced PACU RN to join the Bliss Building team. The RN will recover patients from general and regional anesthesia, IV sedation, and require ICU level care in a 24/7 post‑operative setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multiple disciplines, autonomous decision making, and strong communication and critical thinking to ensure safe, efficient interdepartmental workflow.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• BSN preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• PACU and/or ICU experience preferred.
• Training program available and required for step‑down and Emergency Department‑experienced RN.

Responsibilities

• PACU RN recovers patients from general and regional anesthesia, IV, and conscious sedation requiring acute and ICU level of care.
• Provides 24/7 post‑operative care to a variety of surgical and interventional procedures.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to establish and facilitate interdepartmental workflows and relationships.
