Job summary

Mia Aesthetics - Atlanta is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support perioperative and postoperative care in our surgical setting. The role involves direct patient nursing, coordination with surgeons and anesthesia teams, and ensuring continuity of care across the surgical process.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license (BLS/ACLS), have PACU experience, and are bilingual in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or bachelor’s in nursing.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse license and education requirements.
• BLS and ACLS certifications maintained.

Responsibilities

• Participates in primary care of patients as needed and makes rounds as indicated to verify patient needs are met.
• Provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition.
• Monitors patients and informs surgeons or anesthesiologist immediately of observed complications.
• Assists in coordinating patient care activities with medical staff and healthcare team members to provide continuity of patient care.
• Documents information received from the patient and disseminates to appropriate people/areas.
• Documents and carries out Pre/Post-Operative orders given by Surgeon and post-anesthesia care documentation.
• Assists nursing staff in identifying and solving nursing care problems.
• Collaborates with medical staff on coordinated outcomes and interventions for patient progress.
• Assists with nursing activities during emergencies and teaches post-operative care to patient/family.
• Organizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel for patient care management.
• Maintains order and cleanliness of postoperative areas.
• Assists in inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain stock levels.
• Follows HIPAA policies and completes mandatory training and unit meetings.
