Qualifications

• Associates degree or bachelor’s required.
• Active RN license and educational requirements.
• BLS and ACLS certifications active.
• Minimum 1 year PACU experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Participates in primary care of patients and rounds to verify needs.
• Provides nursing care related to surgical condition.
• Monitors patients and informs surgeons or anesthesiologist of complications.
• Coordinates patient care activities with medical staff for continuity.
• Documents information and disseminates it to appropriate people.
• Documents Pre/Post-Operative orders and post anesthesia care details.
• Assists nursing staff in identifying and solving care problems.
• Educates patients and families on postoperative care.
• Keeps postoperative areas organized and stocked.
• Follows HIPAA policies at all times.
