Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time, day shift. You will deliver individualized, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support admission, transfer and discharge.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Must possess a personal presence with honesty, integrity and caring.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, high quality nursing care to patients of all ages.
• Use a team approach to delegate and coordinate patient care at admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Independently delivers nursing care using the Nurse Practice Act and MercyOne policies.
• Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Maintains knowledge of documentation requirements needed for patients’ records.
• Administers nursing care to patients; includes assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care plan in coordination with the physician.
• Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, patients, families and other healthcare team members.
• Participates in ongoing educational activities related to clinical knowledge and professional issues.
