Job summary

Jefferson Health in Langhorne, PA seeks a Licensed Registered Nurse to provide patient- and family-centered care, using nursing processes to address physical, psychological, and social needs. The RN will collaborate with care partners to plan individualized care consistent with cultural beliefs and values.

Preferred BSN or higher within 3 years of hire; strong emphasis on education, safety, and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma required from an accredited nursing program.
• Patient-and Family-Centered Practice: respect and collaborate with each patient, family and/or designated care partner in care planning.
• Cultural Awareness: ability to work with diverse backgrounds and convey respect.
• Effective Communication: transmit, receive and interpret information with patients and families.
• Patient Assessment and Care: assess ailments and implement a treatment plan.
• Education for Patients and Care Partners: educate patients and care partners on condition and next steps.
• Medication Administration and Prescription: knowledge of medications and prescriptions for continuing treatment.
• Discharge Planning: develop post-discharge plans and arrange follow-up.
• Assessment and Diagnosis: tools for patient assessment and clinical judgement.
• Health Information Documentation: document medical histories, vital signs, medications, diagnoses, and plans.

Responsibilities
