Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit). This full-time position involves four 10-hour day shifts per week with on-call obligations.

You will use the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinate with other departments, protect patient rights, and uphold Mercy service standards in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN experience preferred.
• Graduated from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM or other required certifications as per unit.
• Must be able to push/pull/lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains accountability for care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates care effectiveness by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
