Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse for the 7pm–7am shift. You will manage airway support, monitor neuro and cardiac status, and respond promptly to complications, while providing wound care and ensuring patient stability during recovery.

Collaboration with the surgical and anesthesia teams is essential, including on-call availability for select non-business hours. Requirements include 1 year RN experience, an ADN, NC nursing licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NIH

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience required.
• PACU/Critical Care or strong hospital nursing experience preferred.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina; eNLC may apply.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIH certifications required; national certification in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

Shifts:This position is 7pm-7am.

Call:2 call shifts in a 6 week period. Must be within 30 minutes of facility if called back in

As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in the immediate post-operative care of surgical patients. Your responsibilities will include managing airway support, closely monitoring neurological and cardiac status, and responding promptly to any complications or side effects. You will provide initial wound care to the patients’ surgical site and ensure patient stability during recovery. You will collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team. This role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours which will be discussed in the interview.

What qualifications you will need:.

• Required Experience:One year of RN experience
• Preferred Experience:PACU/Critical Care and or strong hospital nursing experience
• Required Education: Associates Degree in Nursing
• Required License:Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.
• Required Certifications:BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIH
• Preferred Certifications:National Certification in area of specialty
