Job summary

MLK Community Hospital is seeking an RN Clinical Staff in the PACU to provide post-anesthesia care for surgical patients in a modern, mission-driven safety-net setting.

You will assess recovery, manage pain and sedation, interpret vitals, respond to changes, coordinate with the surgical and anesthesia teams, document in the EHR, and educate patients and families with cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care for postoperative patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Assess and monitor recovery, manage pain and sedation.
• Interpret vital signs and respond quickly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams for safe handoffs and outcomes.
• Document care in the EHR and educate patients and families with compassion and cultural sensitivity.
