Job summary
Manhattan Surgical Hospital Llc in Manhattan, Kansas seeks a Registered Nurse for PACU/Pre-op/Step-down. You will assess patients, monitor airway and vitals, manage emergence from anesthesia, and support pain control and recovery.
Responsibilities include pre-op education, IV starts, administering meds, documenting care, and assisting with transfers. Must hold Kansas RN license and current CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications; ability to lift and stand for long periods is required.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Kansas.
- Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Ability to stand/walk for five hours per day.
- Must be able to lift/push 20+ pounds regularly.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients pre-operatively and in PACU/Pre-op/Step-down.
- Monitor airway, vital signs, and emergence from anesthesia; manage pain.
- Perform IV starts and administer medications as ordered; document care.
