Job summary

Fertility & Surgical Associates of California is seeking a per diem PACU RN to join our Thousand Oaks site. You will work in the onsite recovery room with a small care team, providing immediate post-operative care and coordinating with surgeons and staff.

Requirements include a California RN license, CPR/ACLS/BCLS, and at least two years of clinical experience (one year in women’s health preferred). Weekend and holiday availability is necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program with a valid California RN license.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and BCLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; minimum 1 year in women's health (new RN graduates willing to train encouraged).
• Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
• Skilled in charting, documentation, and OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance.
• Computer literate with strong keyboard skills (55+ wpm).

Responsibilities

• Perform IV placement, vital signs monitoring, EKG administration, and medication administration.
• Provide Post-Operative (PACU) recovery room care and monitoring.
• Assist in surgery scheduling and care coordination.
• Deliver patient education and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient care documentation.
• Demonstrate professional skills and clinical judgment in all patient interactions.
• Provide direct patient care under the California Nursing Practice Act.

The Role

Fertility & Surgical Associates is an infertility and surgical medical office seeking a per diem PACU R.N. to join our dedicated care team. This role is based in the onsite recovery room of our Thousand Oaks facility, where you’ll work alongside 2 CRNAs, 1 Medical Assistant, and 2 PACU RNs. We are looking for a quick-study team player who thrives under pressure and brings compassion to every patient interaction.

Schedule

This is a per diem (as needed), in-person position based at our Thousand Oaks, CA facility. Start times fluctuate based on the surgical schedule, and candidates must be available for weekends (2-3 weekends per month) and holidays. You’ll work primarily in our onsite recovery.

Compensation

$50.00 - $55.00/hr
