Job summary

Pinnacle Fertility is hiring a Per Diem Surgical RN to support patients through their fertility journey, delivering pre-, intra-, and post-operative care in a fast-paced surgical suite. This on-site, per diem role offers 8-hour shifts between 6:30 AM and 4:30 PM and a competitive hourly rate.

Ideal candidates have an accredited nursing program, California RN licensure, BLS/ACLS current, and 2–3 years of OR circulating nurse experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license issued by the California State Board of Nursing.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications (required) or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures, perform preoperative assessment, give discharge instructions, and start IV.
• Recover patients after general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care. Reinforce discharge instructions.
• Deliver direct patient care during pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases in the surgical suite.
• Accurately document patient care and procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Clearly communicate post-operative instructions to patients and families.
• Oversee surgical suite operations, ensuring cleanliness, sterility, and equipment functionality.
• Initiate emergency protocols as needed and coordinate equipment repairs.
• Mentor new staff and provide updates on protocol changes.
• Support organizational policies and contribute to process improvements.
• Collaborate with the Surgery Manager to assess equipment and supply needs.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the surgical team.

As a Per Diem Surgical RN, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.

We are seeking a Per Diem Surgical RN to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility - California in Los Angeles, CA. This is a per diem, onsite position with flexible 8 hours shifts between 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

• Education & Licensure:
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Circulating Nurse in the OR, surgical experience a plus.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Hourly Rate: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour (Final offers based on experience, skills, and qualifications).
