Job summary

Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the PACU to lead nursing care on the assigned unit and shift. The role requires collaboration with the nurse manager, oversight of patient care, and coordination of daily operations.

Responsibilities include staffing, policy development, professional development, and ensuring quality, patient-centered care within budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing and 2 years acute care experience.
• Strong communication, patient- and family-centered care approach.
• Knowledge of quality and regulatory standards (JCAHO, OSHA).
• ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications.
• RN licensure in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Direct nursing care planning and coordination with nurse manager.
• Recruit, interview and select staff; lead staffing plans.
• Develop and evaluate unit policies and goals.
• Provide clinical guidance on policies, procedures, and patient safety.
• Manage budget and resources; monitor staffing and payroll.
• Support professional development and shared governance.
• Ensure patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
