Veterans Health Administration is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit in Portland, Oregon. You will assist with activities of daily living and support recovery as part of the Veteran's treatment plan under licensed supervision.

The role emphasizes caring for Veterans, documenting care, monitoring patient status, and adhering to standards of practice, with opportunities to participate in training and mentoring newer nurses.

Formación

• Six months of general experience or education/trainings meeting the NA requirements.
• Proven ability to acquire knowledge and skills for NA work.
• English language proficiency per VA standards.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct care for Veterans and documents care given.
• Monitors patient status and responds to changes with appropriate staff.
• Operates basic nursing procedures and equipment safely.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and follows infection control procedures.
• Acts as a preceptor/mentor to other nursing assistants.

Educación

Education above high school (1 year)

Bachelor's degree with 24 credit hours in health care or related field
