The US Department of Veterans Affairs in Portland, OR seeks a Nursing Assistant in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to support daily living activities and a range of care under a licensed provider's direction, contributing to each Veteran's recovery plan.

Applicants pending completion of education or licensure may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. See VA qualification standards for the GS-3 to GS-5 levels.

Formación

• Knowledge of current practice and standards in nursing assistance.
• Quality of experience must be documented and verified.
• Part-time experience accrual rules apply for full-time credit.

Responsabilidades

• Provide activities of daily living and basic nursing tasks.
• Observe and report patient status to supervising nurse.
• Assist with patient recovery and safety in PACU.

Educación

Six months of general experience

One year of education above high school

Completion of an intensive training course of less than one year
