Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for the Day Shift (16 hours/week). The role supports physicians by delivering attentive patient care and collaborating with the care team to ensure patient safety.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Prior acute care nursing assistant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in progress toward BA in Nursing or Health Sciences with clinicals.
• BLS certification required.
• Proof with college transcript or significant healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data.
• Help patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, diet, fluids, skin care, bathing, dressing, mobility).
• Patient transport to various locations.
• Collection of specimens.
• Distribute linens and supplies to patient rooms.
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients.
• Monitor patient safety for at-risk patients as assigned.
