Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support physicians and provide high-quality patient care during a 12-hour night shift.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor patients, transport, collect specimens, and help ensure safety. Strong candidates have a high school diploma, CNA training, BLS, and healthcare experience, plus pass drug and background checks. Full-time with health benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in progress
• BLS certification required
• Proof with college transcript or significant nurse aide/healthcare experience is required
• Previous Nursing Assistant in acute care setting preferred
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
• Patient transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients
• As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Nurse Aide Training Program completion

BA in Nursing or Health Sciences with clinical experience

BLS certification
