Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced PACU Nurse Manager to lead daily operations in the onsite Austin, TX PACU. This full-time role offers long-term potential and a competitive pay range.

You will supervise staff, plan staffing, provide clinical leadership, drive performance evaluations, and participate in process improvement and budget activities while delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BSN required.
• 2+ years of OR or Day Surgery experience.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the PACU and ensure effective department coverage.
• Plan and oversee staffing assignments while maintaining productivity targets.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to PACU staff.
• Conduct and approve employee performance evaluations and establish individual goals.
• Review and update departmental policies, procedures, protocols, and manuals.
• Monitor the condition of facilities and address existing or potential operational issues.
• Participate in process improvement and quality initiatives.
• Serve as a change agent and support organizational decisions through strong leadership and role modeling.
• Promote staff development, professional growth, and continuing education.
• Assist with departmental budget and inventory management.
• Support staff engagement, development, and overall department performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience with staffing, performance management, process improvement, and departmental operations preferred.
