Job Summary: The PACU Manager is a working leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the post-anesthesia care unit. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while managing staff performance, departmental processes, and resource utilization. The Manager also supports continuous improvement initiatives and fosters professional development within the team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day PACU operations while maintaining clinical involvement
• Plan, direct, and manage staffing assignments to ensure proper coverage and productivity
• Review and approve staff performance evaluations and set employee goals
• Maintain and update departmental policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
• Monitor facility conditions and implement corrective actions for issues
• Participate in process improvement and quality initiatives
• Act as a change agent and support leadership decisions through role modeling

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
