Lovelace Health System, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a day shift, full-time PACU Charge Nurse to lead nursing care in the post-anesthesia care unit.

The role emphasizes patient flow, staff collaboration, and adherence to hospital policies. Eligible candidates hold an Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing, NM license, CPR/BLS, and have charge nurse experience; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma of Nursing
• One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in a hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience.
• CPR
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of the patient and staff of assigned area in his/her charge.
• Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions.
• Collaborates with the unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers and staff.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
