Job summary

Children's of Alabama in Birmingham is seeking a Staff Patient Care Associate to work in PACU on the Main Campus. This full-time Day/Evening shift with rotating days, Monday-Friday, includes on-call.

You will assist RNs and LPNs, support patient communication, and help ensure safe recovery after surgery. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, completion of the Clinical Care Partners program after hire, current BLS certification, and at least 1 year of staff-level patient care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must successfully complete Clinical Care Partners program after hire.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 1 year of staff-level patient care experience or equivalent qualifications (e.g., CNA, CMA, CMA-CMC).

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and communication for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Work under supervision of RNs and LPNs to support recovery in PACU.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
