Job summary

Island Health in Anacortes, WA seeks a PACS Administrator to lead PACS/RIS and imaging applications, ensuring system uptime and reliable workflows. This role collaborates with Diagnostic Imaging, IS, vendors, and clinicians, providing technical guidance across departments.

Location: Anacortes, WA. Schedule: Full Time / Days. Salary range: $85,592–$128,398 annually. Requires 5+ years imaging/PACS experience and ARRT/CIIP credentials when possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of imaging, PACS, radiology tech experience.
• Experience with Imaging Services information systems and EHR integration.
• Knowledge of DICOM, HL7, and image routing.
• ARRT and CIIP certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains PACS/RIS and related imaging applications to ensure system uptime, availability, and reliable day-to-day operations.
• Monitors system queues, backups, study flow, image routing, and system performance to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoots studies, reports, interfaces, and system errors impacting imaging workflows, clinical access, or data integrity.
• Provides 24/7 on-call support as part of a scheduled rotation and escalates critical system issues through appropriate channels.
• Documents system design, configuration, maintenance activities, issues, inventory, and system changes.
