Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in PACS administration or healthcare IT.
• Strong knowledge of DICOM standards, HL7 interfaces, and imaging modalities.
• Experience with PACS software platforms and server/database management.
• CIIP (Certified Imaging Informatics Professional) preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to data integrity and system reliability.

Responsibilities

• System Administration: Manage and maintain PACS and RIS environments; oversee image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, and prefetching; perform system troubleshooting and updates; monitor performance and audits.
• Integration & Collaboration: Coordinate PACS integration with EMR/EHR systems and imaging modalities (CT, MRI, X-ray).
• Security & Compliance: Ensure HIPAA, HL7, DICOM and data standards compliance; manage user access and security protocols; develop PACS policies and procedures.
• Training & Support: Provide technical support and training to end-users; document workflows and configurations; stay current with industry trends; collaborate with radiologists, IT staff, and clinical teams; liaise with vendors for upgrades and support.
