Job summary

Sectra in Denver, CO is seeking a Technical Engineer to help hospitals deploy and maintain PACS and Enterprise Imaging solutions. You will work from implementation through upgrades, delivering hands-on deployment and ongoing technical support to ensure reliable patient care systems.

You will collaborate with project managers, application specialists, and customer IT teams, perform root-cause analysis, document steps, and train customers as needed. Some travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years deploying, administering, or supporting complex enterprise software systems in healthcare IT
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong PACS, DICOM knowledge and related workflows
• Experience with Windows Server, virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V/Azure), and networking basics
• Experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
• Methodical troubleshooting with focus on reliability and data integrity
• Excellent communication to both technical and nontechnical audiences
• Organized, detail‑oriented, able to balance projects and support

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, test, upgrade, and maintain Sectra’s PACS and Enterprise Imaging solutions, including servers and infrastructure
• Provide ongoing technical support for customer environments, troubleshooting performance, availability, and workflows
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective solutions
• Configure and troubleshoot connections with modalities and third‑party systems (EMRs, dictation, AI)
• Work with project managers, engineers, and customer IT teams to support implementations and resolve issues
• Support data migration and validation during implementations, upgrades, and transitions
• Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and solutions; share knowledge
• Provide technical training to customers and colleagues
• Participate in continuous improvement of deployment and support processes
• Occasionally work outside standard hours; travel up to 25%
