Gardner Denver Distributor seeks a Service Technician to perform shop and field repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on compressed air systems and components. Responsibilities include on-site service, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance, with interpretation of manuals and schematics.

Applicants should be able to read engineering material, perform basic calculations, and operate various tools safely.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of related work experience or training or equivalent
• MVR in good standing per company policy

Responsabilidades

• Perform technical skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of compressed air systems and accessories.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of compressed air systems and/or accessories during and after hours as directed
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service and/or repairs of compressed air systems and/or accessories
• Read and interpret operation manuals, electrical schematics, literature and work orders
• Perform basic mathematical calculations related to work orders and compressed air formulas
• Use hand and power tools, meters, and equipment safely
• Detect faults and report unusual situations to the service manager promptly
• Comply with safety regulations and keep work areas clean and orderly
• Drive company vehicle to and from job sites; overnight travel may be required

Service Technicians are responsible for performing shop and/or fieldrepairs, maintenance service and troubleshooting of air compressorsand its components for an authorized Gardner Denver distributor.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Perform technical skills including but not limited to, mechanical,electrical, troubleshooting and repair of compressed air systems and accessories
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of compressed air systemsand/or accessories both during normal working hours and after-hours,weekends, and holidays as directed
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service and/or repairsof compressed air systems and/or accessories
• Read and interpret operational manuals, electrical schematics,general compressed air equipment literature, and work orders toperform required maintenance and/or repairs
• Perform basic mathematical calculations; including but not limitedto, totaling work orders and basic compressed air formulas
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters andmaterial handling equipment in performing duties
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report them andany other unusual situations to the service manager in a timely manner
• Comply with safety regulations. Maintain clean and orderly shopwork areas, company vehicles, and job site work areas.
• Drive company vehicle to and from job sites throughout the day.Overnight travel by land and/or air may be required.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• May perform work requiring the use of welding tools, winch,pulley, hoist and/or pallet jack
• May be required to tow a trailer or portable air compressor usingCompany vehicle

Experience and Skills

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (includingphysical and work environment)

• Working knowledge of compressed air systems and its components,including knowledge of the mechanical operation, associated hazards,and proper usage of the equipment
• Ability to interpret schematics and operational manuals forpractical application on repair and maintenance tasks
• Working knowledge of fundamental mathematical operations
• Ability to take preventative safety measures to avoid electricalshock, limit exposure to loud noises, and prevent personal injury byusing personal protective equipment, including the use of NFPA 70Eprotective equipment when applicable
• Skilled usage of mechanical tools utilized to repair and maintaincompressed air systems and their components
• Ability to perform duties in non-climate controlled environmentssuch as outdoor weather conditions and non-weather related wet,humid and/or extreme heat conditions
• Position requires extended periods of standing, extended periodsof sitting while driving, as well as bending, pulling, pushing,reaching, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and the use of hands tofinger, grasp, handle and feel often in repetitive motion
• Ability to handle heavy work - exerting up to 100 lbs. of forceoccasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or upto 10 lbs. constantly to move objects.
• Requires the ability to speak in a manner that conveys detailed orimportant instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly
• Ability to hear by receiving detailed verbal information or bymaking distinction in sounds at normal speaking levels with orwithout correction.
• Visual sharpness to operate motor vehicles and heavy equipment ina safe manner with or without correction.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS (education, workexperience, licenses/certifications)

• High School or equivalent (GED)
• 5 to 7 years of related work experience or training or equivalentcombination of both education and experience
• Motor Vehicle Record must be in good standing and comply withCompany policy
