Job summary

A Florida-based company is seeking a Service Technician responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of air compressors and accessories. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience, a good driving record, and skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. This role includes driving to job sites, emergency repairs, and regular maintenance with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and retirement plans. There are also bonus opportunities for eligible technicians.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of related work experience or training or equivalent combination of both education and experience.
• Motor Vehicle Record must be in good standing and comply with Company policy.
• Experience on Ingersoll Rand, Atlas Copco, Quincy, and other compressors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on compressed air systems and accessories.
• Provide emergency repairs during normal and after-hours as needed.
• Drive company vehicle to job sites and maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Read manuals and schematics to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Drive company vehicle to job sites; occasional overnight travel may be required.

Job description

Overview

Service Technicians are responsible for performing shop and/or field repairs, maintenance service and troubleshooting of air compressors and its components.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of compressed air systems and accessories
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of compressed air systems and/or accessories both during normal working hours and after-hours, weekends, and holidays as directed
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service and/or repairs of compressed air systems and/or accessories
• Read and interpret operational manuals, electrical schematics, general compressed air equipment literature, and work orders to perform required maintenance and/or repairs
• Perform basic mathematical calculations; including but not limited to, totaling work orders and basic compressed air formulas
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report them and any other unusual situations to the service manager in a timely manner
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly shop work areas, company vehicles, and job site work areas
• Drive company vehicle to and from job sites throughout the day. Overnight travel by land and/or air may be required on occasion

Additional Responsibilities

• May perform work requiring the use of welding tools, winch, pulley, hoist and/or pallet jack
• May be required to tow a trailer or portable air compressor using Company vehicle
