Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is assisting with a packing worker role in Ferndale, WA. This position supports the production line and packaging operations, requiring attention to detail and the ability to follow safety standards.

Pay is quoted at $18 per hour with a day shift from 6:00am to 3:30pm, and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a cold or hot environment. Ideal candidates have basic food safety knowledge; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices will be provided.
• Attention to detail, reliability and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Handle raw materials and perform tasks such as defrosting, hooking, hanging, racking, cutting, stuffing, weighing, scaling, labeling, boxing and palletizing.
• Load and unload materials onto racks, carts and conveyors.
• Move products between temperature areas using carts or racks.
• Prepare products for vacuum processing and packaging.
• Inspect product for quality and consistency and report defects to supervisor.
• Follow HACCP, USDA and FDA food safety guidelines.
• Assist with sanitation processes as needed.
• Record production data such as counts and weights.
• Communicate effectively with line leads and supervisors about production challenges.

What's the Job?
