Job summary

Norplex Inc. is seeking dedicated Packers for our plastic extrusion plant to efficiently pack bags in line with production specifications and quality standards.

You will perform basic quality checks, follow packing instructions, keep the area clean, and collaborate with the production team to ensure a smooth flow of finished products. This role requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional heavier lifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with ability to follow instructions and quality standards for packing operations.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic reading and writing skills to follow packing instructions and safety guidelines.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required in the packing process.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently pack plastic bags according to production specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct basic quality checks on packed bags for defects or issues and report any discrepancies.
• Follow packing guidelines and procedures to ensure the integrity and appearance of the finished product.
• Maintain a clean and organized packing area, disposing of waste and packaging materials appropriately.
• Communicate any shortages, quality concerns, or equipment issues to the Shift Supervisor or relevant personnel.
• Read and follow packing instructions and safety guidelines to ensure compliance and product quality.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure a smooth flow of finished products for packing.
• Lifting 50 lbs frequently, with occasional lifting greater than 75 pounds.
