Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company in Sparks, MD is seeking a production associate to package materials and operate filling lines under GMP guidelines.

You will weigh materials, label and inspect products, maintain accurate production records, and communicate status across shifts while following all safety and housekeeping policies. The role may require overtime and offers hourly pay between $19.10 and $30.60 depending on location and experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Package materials per SMP/SOP including set-up and clean-up.
• Fill, assemble, label and inspect products under supervision.
• Maintain weighing accuracy and tolerances.
• Record production data and logs accurately.
• Follow GMP, safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Overtime as needed to meet BD requirements.

Job Description Responsibilities

• Responsible for packaging materials in accordance with standard manufacturing procedures (SMP) and standard operating procedures (SOP) including equipment set-up, equipment clean-up and documentation of such process
• Filling, assembling, labeling and inspecting under general supervision
• May be responsible for maintaining accuracy in weighing materials per the correct SMP and SOP weight tolerances
• Must be a good communicator within the manufacturing team to effectively define status of product or process between shifts either orally or with the use of written status reports
• May be responsible for moving required materials from defined storage or staging areas to workspace using material handling equipment
• Demonstrates ability to set-up, operate and clean production equipment including weighing scales, hand-filling equipment, Integrated Fill Lines (IFL), bagging equipment and shrink-wrap equipment
• Maintains accurate production records, which include operation/cleaning logs, batch history records, label reconciliation, work order information and other pertinent data
• Identifies the need for minor equipment repairs
• Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures
• Must follow all BD safety policies and procedures
• Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements
• Performs other duties as required
