Job summary

Clemens Food Group is seeking an Operations Supervisor for Packing, 1st shift, in Coldwater, MI. You will lead a manufacturing team, ensure safety, quality, and on-time production, and drive continuous improvement across SOPs, HACCP, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities include coaching team members, conducting training, investigations, and annual evaluations, while coordinating cross-functional initiatives and maintaining compliance with safety and quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Train new team members on SOPs.
• Evaluate and ensure effectiveness in daily team meetings.
• Lead weekly qualification meetings for new hires.
• Administer disciplinary actions according to policy.
• Coach all team members on corrective action, SOPs and KPIs.
• Coordinate celebrations and recognition programs.
• Serve as hiring manager for all non-exempt staff.
• Develop cross-training matrix within the department.
• Support change management initiatives.
• Use CI tools to engage and develop staff.
• Investigate and resolve team member complaints.
• Conduct annual team member evaluations.
• Evaluate daily stretching practices of team members.
• Perform incident investigations as needed.
• Participate in daily product audits for improvements.
• Investigate customer complaints and implement actions.
• Investigate food safety/quality deviations and correct actions.
• Observe processes and ensure SOPs are followed and improved.
• Monitor area KPIs and take corrective actions.
• Execute Product Improvement Requests.
• Apply CI tools to sustain processes.
• Ensure HACCP/SSOP and Quality Control compliance.
• Manage job-sharing and cross-training to meet schedules.
• Ensure materials and supplies are available.
• Update opportunities list and follow through.
• Ensure timely production reporting to cost accounting.
• Schedule safety and food safety recertifications.
• Submit work orders.
• Review/process HACCP/SSOP records.
• Train non-exempt staff on safety compliance.
• Review Time & Attendance for wage/hour compliance.
• Attend weekly meetings.
• Participate in leadership opportunities.
• Review personal development tools.
• Support cross functional teams initiatives.
