Nightshift Packing Lead

Building and Construction Team, Springdale, Arkansas

Arconic is currently in search of a Nightshift Packing Lead to join our Building and Construction Team in Springdale, Arkansas. Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Must be able to operate all pieces of equipment within the department.
• Follow all 1 st piece inspection processes according to the inspection requirements.
• Work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Must have great people skills.
• Develop and maintain a good relationship with co‑workers, internal and external suppliers, promoting a teamwork environment.
• Perform pre‑startup inspections.
• Participate in ABS and support the ABS principles.
• Perform work on the computer daily, manage daily activities using Microsoft Office programs, have excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).
• Facilitate L1 meetings.
• Possess good delegation skills.
• Reward and recognize good performance for the team.
• Write and train on department specific work instructions.
• Provide management with data when required for his/her areas of responsibility.
• Order supplies.
• Use JDE for routing, reporting, and problem resolution when errors occur.
• Excellent communication skills with Shop Floor employees, other Leads, and Managers.
• Excellent decision making and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Employee is required to follow all safety and health requirements listed in the applicable procedures and work instructions.
• Be able to supervise, lead and coach co‑workers to develop their skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Active support and leadership for ABS tools and concepts.
• Proficient in JDE.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be able to lift repeatedly and stand or kneel for extended periods of time.
