Job summary

Essential duties of the Packing Utility Worker:Ensure the quality of aluminum is inspected by performing measurement checks and visual inspectionsWill work one on one with a partner for the whole shift, unless otherwise told by the SupervisorRead packaging specs to ensure proper bundlingRetrieve racks of aluminum from holding areaPush racks of aluminum to workstationLift and position work horses on tablesCut wood for bundles with a miter saw as neededUse basic hand tools throughout shift (Retractable knife, deburr, etc.)Pack the aluminum with the appropriate material per customer specificationsMove metal and/or materials manually as requiredDocument the appropriate production information on paper and a computerRequirements The Packing Utility Worker:Must comply with company policies including but not limited to all safety policiesMust follow all Packing procedures and guidelinesMust know how to read a tape measure or be willing to learn for quality checksFamiliarity with computers is a plus, we will train on the jobMust be 18 years of age to work in the plantMust have ability to read and understand basic instructions (Spanish instructions are provided asneeded)Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writingMust be willing to participate in all required job and or employment related trainings. This includes butis not limited to all safety and technical or role or tool specific trainings.This position requires the individual to work in a factory/manufacturing environment. The temperaturescan fluctuate from hot to cold and the noise level is high. An individual in this role will be able to walk,bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb and push/pull frequently. With proper safety equipment, an individual inthis role may work above ground level (off the ground) occasionally. An individual in this role will needto be always aware of movement and/or noises around them. An individual in this role must move25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally. An individual in this role will remain stationary and/ortraverse the factory as needed per essential duties of the position. An individual in this role will be aneffective communicator verbally and in writing, and this role requires individuals to read and followwritten procedures.
