Job summary

Inteplast-Group in Phoenix is seeking a Packer C to follow established quality guidelines to produce products meeting criteria. The role supports line operations, packaging finish goods, labeling pallets, and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, good communication, reliable attendance, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all written and verbal safety rules
  • Maintain high level of housekeeping
  • Understand all charting order instructions and arrange packaging supplies and boxes as per charting instructions
  • Pack and wrap finish goods as per procedure/ charting instructions
  • Print/attach pallet labels as per the order and move pallets to the designated location
  • Assist Operator during Line Startup & Shutdown
  • Use hand tools such as pallet jack
  • Make end boards
  • Run horizontal/vertical packing crane (Manual or radio control)
  • Packing supplies (Check that the Material Handler has all needed supplies for packaging a product)
  • Comply with Plant Safety Regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Help in all areas when needed
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as requires
  • Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
  • Climbing ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet legs and /or hands and arms, Body agility is emphasized.
  • Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
  • Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine and waist. Example: Changing paper in printer, copier machine.
  • Kneeling, bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
  • Crouching, bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
  • Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Example: Making copies, giving presentations, directing traffic.
  • Walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
  • Pushing, using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust, forward, downward or outward.
  • Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
  • Manufacturing Environment
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
  • Loud Noise
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs and repetitive action of lifting and bending
  • Able to stand for up to 12hrs and Work 12hrs rotating schedule
  • Must wear steel toe shoes and appropriate PPE on production floor all times
  • No shorts, jewelry and loose hanging clothes allowed
