The packer builds healthy communities through play and recreation by ensuring parts are safely packaged through the warehouse to produce a high-quality finished product.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting.
• Move product and inventory using a forklift and bin system.
• Packs product based on daily orders.
• Operates various equipment, such as pallet wrapper, forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
• Grinds inventory materials as necessary.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Execute and document quality inspections.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Perform related duties as required by supervision.
• Break down cardboard for recycling.
• Satisfy the required hours of the department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
• Experience shipping & warehouse is desired.
• Requires the ability to operate various hand and power tools.
• Requires the ability to pass forklift operator course and drive a forklift.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to speak effectively with employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
