Responsibilities

Perform routine packing tasks involved in the manufacturing of plastic bottles, following the information provided on the traveler.

Operate box machines, tape, and glue gun as required.

Follow prescribed procedures, perform duties such as packing and insertion of corrugated material.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Verify carton label information.

Prepare boxes for packing.

Able to pack bottles both in the production area and in the repack area when necessary.

Able to pack bottles in various types of machines.

Report safety issues and accidents immediately to the supervisor.

Follow site cGMP and Safety requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to carry out work orders and make decisions on bottle jams.
  • Meet deadlines consistently.

Education and/or Equivalent Experience

  • Basic math skills for calculating box capacity and packing sequences.
  • Effective communication skills to understand labels, work orders, and safety notices.
  • Legible handwriting and ability to fill out forms.
  • Punctuality.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Noise level on the production floor is 90dB.
  • Wear protective footwear, earplugs, safety glasses, bump caps, and hairnets.
  • Frequently lift up to 35 lbs and stoop to pick up dropped bottles.
  • Constantly move arms to handle bottles and match labels.
  • Require visual detection of defects and reading labels.
  • Stand, bend, and twist for about 80% of the day.

Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Production Supervisor.
