Job summary

The Gill Corporation is seeking a Packer/Shipper I to construct pallets, label and pack panels, cores or other materials in preparation for shipping at our facility in California. The role reports to the Shipping Manager and requires basic ERP/PC skills and the ability to read and understand company documents.

You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and be flexible to overtime on weekends/holidays. Equal opportunity employer, ITAR compliance, and safety protocols apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand all company documents.
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be available to work the shift specified and be flexible to overtime on weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assembles wooden skids using tools, wood product and other materials according to required packaging codes.
• Generates shipping labels for packages. Must be accurate and validate or verify data prior to labels
• Packs finished product into boxes or drums, using strapping or tape. Applies labels for shipping.
• Must be able to use tools such as bench saw, table saw, hammer, nails, nail gun, staple gun, glue gun, and steel strapping, etc.
• Must know how to read and follow internal shipping instructions, make stamps or labels have knowledge of company products.
