Job summary

Tyson Foods in Newbern, TN is seeking a production associate for the 2nd shift (4:00 pm – 1:00 am) to set up equipment, pack patties, and keep scraps cleaned off the line while adhering to safety and food safety policies.

Your duties include sliding patties onto conveyors, recognizing products that fail standards, and maintaining line balance and cleanliness. You must lift up to 49 lbs and work in temperatures down to 35°F for 8 hours.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 49 pounds.
• Must be able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
• Must be able to perform 8 hours on concrete floor (standing, stooping, walking, etc.).
• Must work in temperatures ≤ 35°F for 8 hours.
• Willing to pinch/grip product and place into location.
• This position does not accept rehires.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: able to perform job requirements with/without accommodation.

• Perform tasks assigned by Lead, Supervisor or Manager.
• Communicate effectively with employees at all levels of management.

• Recognize products that may not meet standards.

• Keep fresh scrap patties off the line.
• Keep patties lines even and take doubles off the line.

• Must be willing to pinch/grip product and place into specified location.
