Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, a leader in the snack industry, is hiring Packers/Quality Assurance Techs at our Hanover, PA facility for a full-time weekend night shift (Friday through Sunday, 5:55 AM to 5:55 PM).

You will inspect packaged items, verify codes and seals, and help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment while supporting production and QA testing. The role offers benefits and opportunities to contribute to a growing, team-oriented company.

Qualifications

• Learn routine quality assurance testing; product sample collection; physical property testing; sensory evaluation; and various lab techniques.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Work proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Inspects packaged items and alerts defects.
• Verifies code, dates, and price.
• Examines package for proper seal.
• Reports conditions that could lead to contamination.
• Packs product into cartons and places on skids/conveyors.
• Prepares items for production (cans/labels/trays/rework).
• Maintains an organized, sanitary work environment following OSHA/FDA/GMP.
• Assists as back-up Quality Assurance Technician as needed.

This full-time opportunity offers a consistent weekend nightshift schedule (Friday through Sunday, 5:55 AM to 5:55 PM), along with competitive pay, benefits, and the chance to work in a team-oriented environment where your contribution matters.

Responsibilities

• Inspects packaged items and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor of any defects.
• Verifies code, dates, and price.
• Examines package for proper seal.
• Reports any and all conditions that could lead to contaminated product.
• Packs product into cartons, cans and specialty containers and places them onto skids/conveyors.
• Prepares items for production (cans/labels/trays/rework items).
• Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment at all times following OSHA, FDA and Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Assists as back-up Quality Assurance Technician as needed.

Requirements
